I am considered a Spring guy myself, but this past week I find myself amazed with the more subtle beauty that Fall heralds in. This post is a perfect example of such!

To Sharon the plant in question is Amelanchier canadensis (Canadian serviceberry, chuckleberry, currant-tree,Juneberry, Shadblow Serviceberry, Shadblow, Shadbush, Shadbush Serviceberry, Sugarplum, Thicket Serviceberry) a zone 3 or 4 .....in other words a bulletproof plant....and tasty blueberry like fruit. A very handsome large shrub/ small tree....

I must also say the fall leaf patterning on this shrub seems quite unique to this plant specifically as I've never seen this in other amelanchiers

I've wanted Nyssa and Stewartia for some time. I need to annex some property and banish a couple of uninvited Norway maples first.

Both Stewartia and Nyssa are quite slender in their profile so not needing alot of space for a long while.......and the most incredible fall colours
